The best photographs aren’t always candid — and they aren’t always posed. Sometimes a little direction makes the difference between an ordinary portrait and the one you want to frame. Sometimes the best thing I can do is get out of the way.
ARTFULLY DIRECTED.
HONESTLY OBSERVED.
Photography for people, places, and the things that matter.
I’m Emily.
Photographer. Artist. Director. Perpetual observer of people, places, and the little things that make a photograph feel like more than a photograph
I make images that are considered without feeling contrived, beautiful without losing their humanity, and timeless without pretending the moment itself wasn’t fleeting.
Sometimes I’ll direct you.
Sometimes I’ll disappear.
Either way, I’m looking for the photograph that feels unmistakably like you.

A few stories worth telling.
The church of her childhood, a celebration on their multigenerational property, concluded with the most perfect Irish goodbye. In the words of the bride: this wedding was truly a family affair.

A FEW STORIES WORTH TELLING.
LET’S MAKE SOMETHING WORTH REMEMBERING.
Whether you’re planning a wedding, stepping in front of the camera for the first time in years, or building something you want the world to see—
I’d love to hear about it.
THE PERSON BEHIND THE CAMERA
I've always been drawn to the little things...
the way people move through a room, the expressions they make when they forget they’re being photographed, the details that give a place its sense of time and character.
I’ve spent more than a decade photographing people, and I still love the challenge of making something beautiful without making it feel manufactured.
When I’m not behind the camera, you’ll find me at home with my family, usually making, reading, rearranging, or cooking something.
I believe photographs should feel like more than a record of what happened. They should bring you back to how it felt.
